CAD CAM Programmer

Our client is a precision engineering company based in the Havant area; they are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team, carrying out offline programming.

They are a sub-contract engineering company who supply the defence, medical and aerospace industry.

You will be designing and programming any necessary fixtures for forthcoming jobs, listing tooling required for and ensuring all data required is correct and available for the machinists at the required start time.

Working on the shop floor you will be working with their design team and management to create programs for most of the shop floor. All programming is done online through a CAD CAM system, you will need to have some experience of offline programming.

The role will be paying £13ph to £15ph (negotiable) depending on your experience and ability.

The basic hours are 40 per week and are flexible with overtime often available.  They operate a contributory pension scheme, 20 days holiday and friendly working environment with interesting work.

Proven experience within a sub-contract precision engineering company
Experience creating CNC Programs using a CAD CAM system
High level of technical/engineering knowledge required
Forward thinking and able to identify potential problems or risks
Able to use own initiative to overcome problems that arise
Committed to continually improve processes and procedures
Effective communication skills
Professional approach at all times
