client is a mechanical manufacturer based in the South of Hampshire; they are a
long established company with client around the world.
They
are currently looking to add to their growing team and are looking for a Mechanical
Design Engineer with knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.
Our
client is easily accessible by public transport and has free onsite parking for
those travelling by car; it is commutable from Havant, Waterlooville,
Petersfield, Portsmouth, Southampton, and West Sussex.
Experience and
Qualifications:-
Qualified
to at least HNC level or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or
relevant)
Experience
using Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modelling package (sheet metal)
Experience
of design within sheet metal fabrication
Experience
working within an ISO 9000 Quality System
You
will need to have a knowledge of or understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics
and electrical technology
Experience
using a CAD CAM system, Radan would be preferred
The Role:-
The
salary for this role is around £24’000 to £27’000 per annum depending on your
experience, plus free parking, 25 days holiday, a contributory pension, and a 4
and a half day week!
You
will be assisting in the development of new product ranges and variants of
existing products from conception to manufacture
Producing
CAD models, fabrication drawings, sales drawings and other drawings using Inventor
Liaising
with customers
Manage
data input into the manufacturing data system - part creation, constructing
bills of materials and routings
Issue
drawings and BOM’s
Oversee
the testing of prototype and pre-production units
Process
and evaluate results of testing
Create
programs using Radan CNC package from the Inventor flat pattern output
