Our client is an impressive world leader in their industry and are looking to expand their team. They are currently looking to employ a Sales Engineer for a permanent position.
Although this role is predominately field based and working from home applicants do need to be based in or near one the following areas: Portsmouth, Southampton, Waterlooville, Chichester, Havant, Fareham, and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an established company who offer excellent scope for career progression. Salary is circa £32’000 per annum plus a company car (fully expensed), laptop, mobile, final salary pension scheme, contributory life assurance and 22 days holiday rising with service. This role will be eligible for commission depending on performance, commission will be guaranteed for the first year, commission estimated at around £5’000 per annum if targets are achieved. About the Role
Reporting to the Service Director the successful applicant will assume responsibility for developing, maintaining and building sales in the UK Provide clients with innovative proposals and solutions with particular focus on HVAC and environmental impacts
Selling company knowledge and products to customers to provide environmentally friendly solutions to reduce their costs and carbon footprint - promote package including survey, design, installation and future servicing Monitor market activity and identify potential for new markets
Maintain records of surveys and quotations, maintain quote data Produce survey reports on conditions of systems and customer needs
Quantify environmental conditions affecting people and processes within the building, conduct analysis (measurements will include thermal load, sound levels and airborne contaminants)
Analyse survey data to calculate appropriate system performance required to provide solutions and meet the requirements of the customer Identify appropriate equipment to achieve calculated system specification
Present proposals to client
You will require the following skills and experience:-
You will need to be an experienced sales engineer within the HVAC (or similar) industry
Previous experience or knowledge of building/building services surveying
Previous exposure to target/result orientated role or graduate (relevant) with desire to work in sales
Able to capture and record temperature, airflow and noise measurements accurately Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
Computer literate with strong Excel skills
BSc in Mechanical or Building Services or Science Approved CIBSE Air Conditioning Inspector (not required if applying as a graduate) Able to organise own workload, work without supervision and several tasks simultaneously
Excellent verbal, written and oral communications skills
Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines, deliver results and get the job done Applicants must possess drive and a strong will to win as well as being proactive, self-motivated and completely customer focused
