Production Supervisor

Our client is a large, established
manufacturer based in the south of Hampshire; their site is easily commutable
from Havant, Emsworth, Southampton, Fareham, Waterlooville, Portsmouth, and
surrounding areas.

 

Our client is looking for
an experience Production Supervisor, the salary for this role is circa £25’000 per
annum plus benefits.

 

You will be managing and improving
efficiency
of production resources

Setting
and monitoring KPI’s to ensure output against schedule

Ensuring
quality standards are adhered to

Implementing
changes in production including implementing
Lean manufacturing principles

Guiding,
training and motivating the manufacturing team to ensure a skilled work force

Facilitate
corrective action investigations and problem solving

 

Requirements

 

Recent experience in a
Supervisory role within a mechanical manufacturing or mechanical engineer environment
(this is essential)

Strong leadership /
people management skills with proven experience

Some experience of
Continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing

You
will need to have experience of training employees

Used
to working under pressure

Experience
of working to production and quality targets

Attention
to detail

Strong
communication skills and able to communicate at all levels

Computer
literate, familiar in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Good IT skills including
Excel

NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory
