Our client is an Aerospace manufacturer based in Bristol who currently has a position for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. Our client supplies Actuation systems to Aerospace, Defence and Industry.

You will require the following skills and experience:-
Essential
Must have a Degree in Electromechanical engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
Proven experience in a similar role in aerospace or other electromechanical environment.
Strong communication skills, ability to work on own initiative.
A proven analytical and problem solving skills – 8D DMAIC
Desirable
Knowledge of SAP Business System
Knowledge of Nadcap and Special processes
Good knowledge of AS9100 series Quality Systems standards
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards stipulated by regulatory authorities CAA / FAA and EASA
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:-
Conduct product, process and supplier audits.
Assist in investigation of root cause of product failures ensuring effective containment and permanent corrective actions and facilitate the problem owner or team using 8D, DMAIC or other quality tools.
Develop quality plans in conjunction with other departments and quality team members as applicable. May be responsible for creating risk analyses and PFMEAs.
Support in preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), Concessions and other documentation required by the customer.
Experience in process capability improvement in Machining or Electronics environment Working knowledge of lean implementation in a low volume environment Willing to travel and work from supplier premises in pursuit of excellence
