My Client is looking for a full time Registered Nurse Manager to manage a 30 bedded Nursing Home in Gosport, Hampshire. The ideal Candidate will currently be working as an RGN deputy/Manager of a Nursing Home and will be required to work on a weekly rota basis to include ‘hands-on’ clinical and nursing duties balanced with the managerial duties.
Basic Objectives: To head a team of staff and set standards to ensure that both the physical and psychological needs of the individual resident are met. Responsible for both clinical and medical matters directly to CQC.
The Registered Manager will be required to oversee the complete running of the home to include a safe, comfortable and secure environment for the residents.
To promote physical and mental health and encourage independence to each resident.
Development of Homes Policies and Procedures and make all staff aware. Recruitment, retention, training, guidance, supervision and appraisal of all staff. To keep yourself up-to-date with modern developments in the Nursing and Care of the Elderly by undertaking relevant training, reading, courses and study days
Meeting of all CQC and other legislative body standards and requirements. Ensuring that the home has a safe living and working environment (to include rectifying all deficiencies within the home environmentally and otherwise) and Health & Safety and Fire regulations.
Promote the Home at all times to its best possible advantage and be pro-active in the marketing of the Home and the selling of beds.
Maintaining adequate records and preparing and reviewing an operational policy and general philosophy of care document for the function of the Nursing Home in conjunction with the Primary Care Trusts and Care Standards requirements.
To oversee all Nursing and Clinical practices along with all aspects of the medication from ordering to returns and to assume overall accountability of the home and its residents and staff.
