Our client is FMCG manufacturer based in the Fareham area; they are
currently looking for someone to join them in the role of Senior Quality
Engineer to improve quality and compliance.
Salary is circa £35’000 per annum plus excellent benefits including Pension scheme,
Subsidised canteen, Free parking, optional Medical scheme, Cycle to work

This role is commutable from Portsmouth, Havant, Chichester, Southampton, Fareham, Waterlooville, and surrounding areas.
Qualifications/Experience:
Experienced Quality Engineer with proven Problem Solving skills, Project Management
Previous experience in a senior role team leading capability
Qualified in an Engineering discipline to HND level equivalent or above
Experience within Automotive OEM / 1st Tier Supplier
Formal qualification in a recognised Quality discipline or equivalent
Proven experience of leading teams within quality - Able to work as an individual and
on own initiative, as well as function as an effective team leader and or
member.
Able to motivate and mentor team members
Proven track record of developing good working relationships with customer and
supplier contacts
Able to clearly communicate and present detailed technical data to all levels of
personnel both internal and external
You will need a current driving licence as some travel will be required for this
role
Must show experience of APQP tool set
Main duties/responsibilities:
Overall responsibility (reporting to Quality Manager) for Quality Engineering and
Quality Technician resource in order to facilitate the implementation of the
Quality processes, procedures and controls necessary to ensure the development,
manufacture and supply.
Oversee daily Quality Engineering and Quality Technician resource allocation to support
production, suppliers and customers; ensuring resource is adequately trained
Develop and implement the Quality led APQP activities specified within company process to assure quality from concept to production.
Support the submission of customer approval documentation, & support the approval
of supplier approval documentation.
Act as main contact for customer quality and plant support, and ensure that customer
quality support is timely and effective.
Support & promote cross functional team activity in areas of the business as
required
Lead concern resolution through effective containment action, robust root cause
investigation & proven corrective actions
