We’ve spoken to recruiters, students, managers and engineers themselves to raise awareness of the issue that we’re passionate about. There are several campaigns and organisations attempting to encourage greater diversity within the engineering industry. Today we conclude with an important question:
Women in Engineering Week
FPR Group has seen the engineering skills shortage first hand. Our Women in Engineering Week 2018 aimed to explore what has been done to tackle the low number of women in the industry, and how far we still need to go to balance the scales.
We hope our Women in Engineering Week 2018 can be a platform to encourage conversation, invite ideas and tackle this issue openly, so feel free to comment your ideas and share!
We’ve spoken to industry leaders, men and women at varying levels within engineering companies, and recent graduates starting out in their careers. We want to know what engineering workplaces have done to attract a diverse workforce.
Today our focus is on recruitment, and we’re interviewing Tracy de Pass, one of our own team, whose been in the engineering industry for 12 years.
Throughout our Women in Engineering Week 2018, FPR Group has been reaching out to different members of the industry, and today we’re talking to those just starting out in their engineering careers: students.
