Account Manager - Motor Trade

Home/Field based - North East England/Scotland Region

Have you worked within the Motor or Finance industry and have knowledge of subprime finance? If the answer is yes, this may be the role for you! Due to growth we are looking for an Account Manager to work within the NE England and Scotland area. You would be working for a company who are rapidly expanding and value their employees.

As well as a competitive basic salary, benefits include: a company car, expenses paid for parking and hotels when needed, fuel and company phone/laptop. There is also a 40% OTE bonus!

Your role will involve you working from a home office and on the road to maximise sales potential within a specified region. You will develop and maintain good relationships with existing car dealerships and follow up on leads with potential, as well as researching the market yourself. This role will involve a lot of time away throughout the week (Mon-Fri) so you need to be prepared for this.

What you will be doing:

You will be solely responsible for your own accounts so will need to have the ability to communicate efficiently any changes or updates needed to the dealerships. You will help to improve costs and communicate feedback constructively including complaints, aftersales and arrears. You will need to have good negotiation skills and be the 'middle man' for any MQ complaints ensuring they are dealt with in a timely fashion between the dealership and company.

Working with the dealerships you will establish targets and growth plans, ensuring they are met and all the tools are in place for them to be achieved. You will understand each individual account and their needs as well as forming new strong relationships with all key departments. You will need to be up to date with the stock of vehicles available for any forecasting or reporting needed and be able to travel to the Warrington office twice a month if needed.

What do they want from you?

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel).
  • A proven track record in sales within a motor trade industry
  • Good knowledge of subprime finance (this will need to be explained to new clients in detail)
  • A confident personality with drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excelled customer service skills
  • Ability to organise your own workload
