Accounts Assistant - Chichester


Permanent, full time

Reports to: Accountant Manager

Purpose of role

Working within the Accounts team to support the team with administration/finance duties ensuring that the function runs smoothly, and in an orderly fashion.



1. Box-It Storage Administration

Ensure that the Box-It function is managed and controlled effectively and in a timely fashion

2. Dealing with incoming emails, including tasking, printing, and distribution

Ensure that emails are dealt with in a timely manner

3. Dealing with incoming phone messages and queries

Ensure that messages and queries are processed in a timely manner

4. Filing and scanning of documents

Ensure that filing and scanning is managed and up to date at all times

5. Assisting with the printing and distribution of remittance advices

Ensure that remittance advices are dealt with in a timely manner

6. Ordering and delivery of stationery

Ensure that adequate stationery is available for all staff in accounts

7. Printing and distribution of sales invoices

Ensure that sales invoices are dealt with in a timely manner

8. Tasking post on Go-Trex to the relevant member of staff

Ensure that Go-Trex tasking is done in a timely manner

9. Making payments to service providers

Ensure that payments are processed and passed for authorisation in a timely manner

10. Any adhoc tasks when required

Adhoc tasks are completed within the timescale requested

11. Embodies Cega values in all activities and interactions


REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES OF JOBHOLDER [identify whether mandatory or desirable]


Minimum 5 GCSE's grade A-C, possibly looking to start studying AAT


Good Excel Skills desirable but not essential


Previous Administration/Finance experience desirable but not essential


Excellent attention to detail, good telephone manner, organised


Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

£17,500 starting salary with 6 monthly increments for the first 2 years if performing to a good standard.
