Brake Press Operative
Job Description
This job would see you setting and operating Brake Press machines in order to fabricate parts out of sheet metal which will go on to be used all across the UK. Loading the raw product, setting and running the machine and then unloading and inspecting the finished article; the abilty to set and operate Brake Presses (Amada and Trumpf ideally) and the skills needed to interpret mechinical are essential, although formal qualifications are not required.

Day to day, the role would see you;
Interpret engineering drawings
Select and set appropriate tooling
Maintain tooling
Operate the CNC controller
Make minor adjustments to the part programme when necessary
Use the machine in MDI (manual data input) mode to produce simple components
Load and operate the machine to produce good quality product
Inspect punched blank
This Brake Press role is on the Night Shift paying £20 per hour. This role is advertised as a contract role, as it is a eight week assignment.
