Job Description

This Business Development Executive role is based in Basingstoke and is paying a salary of up to £37,000. The role is also offering regular office hours with an early finish on a Friday. This is a hybrid role.

This role is for a leading lighting manufacturer, looking to add to their Marketing and Business Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying new business opportunities, such as growth areas, trends and new markets/customers. There will also be the need to support new business plan implementations, be responsible for pipeline managements and be familiar with the companies products. There will also be the need to discuss promotional strategies, attend seminars and arrange follow up appointments. Customer engagement is a critical part of this role, and it is essential that the successful candidate is someone who thrives off of building customer relationships.

The company also offers flexible working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, access to the bonus structure and also private healthcare.

You will need:

• 3+ years of experience in a customer focused/engagement role

• A proven track record of business development and B2B or B2C sales

• To be confident and comfortable dealing with customers/clients over the phone and in person

• To be comfortable presenting or attending events and trade shows

• Excellent communication skills

• A professional telephone manner
