We are hiring for an experienced Buyer with an immediate start to start working with a well-known engineering company that have sites all over the UK and a great name to add to your CV!
This is your opportunity to fly in for an initial six months (long term for the right individual) and work within an experienced, friendly team where you will utilise your experience as a Buyer.
Working within the aftermarket and repairs department you will help source engineering parts required to help with product sign off.
You will be building relationships with suppliers to achieve the best results and make sure all purchase and delivery dates are met. Communication with great commercial acumen is key for a Buyer, as this helps achieve cost-saving purchases that will benefit the company. Any experience of raising purchase orders, speaking to suppliers, creating RFQ'S and actively contributing to cost reduction will be greatly beneficial to your application and help you settle in within this fantastic engineering company.
If you are familiar with engineering terms, then great; this will help you have the technical ability to understand what items you are buying and where to search for them! You will have the responsibility of the day-to-day relationship with various suppliers to buy a range of materials, mechanical parts and much more to help signed off parts get out the door that may not have been right the first time.
You will be working Monday - Thursday 08:00-16:45 and then Friday 08:00-12:30 meaning you can jet-set off into your weekend early!
