We are hiring for an experienced Buyer to join a fantastic purchasing department. You could be starting immediately and join a friendly team that is based across the UK and USA.
This is your opportunity to fly in on a temp - perm basis and work within an experienced, friendly team consisting of just 4 members where you will utilise your experience as a Buyer.
Working within the new product introduction department you will help source specific commodities alongside machinery, precision tools, test equipment and all other related items to help this fantastic engineering company get production out the door.
You will be building relationships with suppliers to achieve the best results and make sure all purchase and delivery dates are met. Communication with great commercial acumen is key for a Buyer, as this helps achieve cost-saving purchases that will benefit the company. Any experience of raising purchase orders, speaking to suppliers, creating RFQ'S and actively contributing to cost reduction will be greatly beneficial to your application and help you settle in within this great engineering company.
If you are familiar with engineering terms, then great; this will help you have the technical ability to understand what items you are buying and where to search for them! You will have the responsibility of the day-to-day relationships with various suppliers to help purchase the equipment needed to manufacture parts for the aerospace industry.
You will be working Monday - Thursday 08:00-16:45 and then Friday 08:00-12:30 meaning you can jet-set off into your weekend early! However, with half of your team working in the USA, a flexible working approach will be required at times to accommodate different time zones.
