Job Description

Do you have experience using AutoCAD and other design software? Do you have experience within an electrical engineering environment? If so, this Electrical CAD Technician is for you!

This Electrical CAD Technician role is working for a company based in Southampton. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm. The role is also paying a salary up to £30,000. The role is onsite only.

The company design, produce and implement computer-based systems, tailored and customised to meet the needs of clients within the electricity supply industry. This includes a range of different hardware, software and panels to be used as part of their data collecting metering equipment.

The successful candidate will be required to use AutoCAD as well as other 2D design software to produce schematic and electrical wiring drawings for the Engineers and other teams to work from. They will need to ensure that the drawings are kept accurate and up to date, alongside company regulations. They will be required to manage their own workload, efficiently, in line with other teams and projects to ensure that drawings and schematics are produced on time before deadlines.

You will need:

• Experience using AutoCAD, as well as other 2D design packages

• Experience within electrical engineering environments or industry

• Experience producing electrical schematic drawings

• To be able to manage your own workload

• A meticulous eye to detail

• Exceptional communication skills

• To be eager and willing to work
