The role of a Chemical Process Operator includes taking responsibility of a given chemical manufacturing procedure, owning it and ensuring it is right first time! The role will involve working closely with manufacturing procedures, process plant equipment whilst always working safely, i.e. ensuring the operation of loading and offloading of chemicals is carried out in accordance to procedure.

What do I need?

If you have experience overseeing the making of chemicals, liquids, cosmetics, drugs or similar be it from pharmaceutical medical or similar processing industries then this really could be perfect for you.

You'll need to have machine/mechanical aptitude, i.e an understanding of the machinery you are to use and so understand how it all works, how it could not function correctly and to be aware of the process which is flowing and never restless.


Working 37.5 hours weeks, the shift is fundamentally a 4 on 4 off pattern incorporating days and nights, however after every 3 rotations you get 10 days off!! The shifts are 12hours long, 6 to 6, 2days 6am to 6pm, then 2 nights of 6pm through to 6am.
