Children's Home Registered Manager

I am currently looking to recruit a Children's Home Registered Manager for my client. The ideal candidate would already need to have all the relevant experience required to run and manage a Children's Home effectively. This role would also suit a strong Deputy Manager looking to move up to the next level in their career.

My client caters to Young People with Emotional Behaviour Disorders (EBD) and some aspect of challenging behaviours and puts their support and needs at the forefront of everything they do in order to get the best outcomes for them.

A very generous salary is on offer, starting from £35,549 to £46,000, with experience and length in service. You will also benefit from 40 days annual leave entitlement (inclusive of Bank Holidays). Along with that attractive offer, there is also a comprehensive training package that will further develop your professional development and may lead to a Level 7 qualification in Leadership and Management. In order to be considered for this role you will already need to have a Level 5 Management qualification.

You will use your leadership skills to lead and motivate the team in order to get the most out of the Young People in their care. Ensuring your team feels supported, supervised, and debriefed is an essential skill for this role. That, along with your knowledge and hands on experience with Ofsted regulations and inspections, chairing and delivering meetings with both your team and other professional bodies, ensuring all records and risk assessments are up to date and reviewed frequently will ensure the smooth running of the home. Building a good trusting relationship with the Young People is vital to succeed as a Registered Manager, this will ensure that the Young People feel safe and secure in the care of the team. The Home is accesible by public transport and it is in the town of Willesborough in Ashford, however, you will need to have a Full UK driving license due to the nature of the role.

The successful candidate will have a thorough induction into this role and will be supported by the Senior Management Team. Your line manager will support you frequently, providing you with advice and the reflective practice may need in order to reach the overall outcomes for the home.
