Children's Residential Support Worker
Due to extreme demand, i am recruiting for Children's Residential Support Workers to work within Residential Children's Homes located in West & East Sussex. In this role you will be supporting young people who have come from traumatic backgrounds and suffer with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) to positively work towards their future goals.
Each home provides a safe, supportive and secure environment where each young person can focus on their individual development whilst being offered outstanding opportunities and continuous encouragement.
Your responsibilities will include participating in staff meetings, spending group or one-to-one time with the young people, support the staff, basic domestic duties, cooking/baking and preparing meals for the young people. You will update records where required, light admin tasks, assist with taking them to appointments, plan fun activities for the young people to do during the day or after school and transport them to school and back when needed. You will be an important role model to the young people who will look up to for support, guidance and reliability.

You will need a minimum of six months experience within the care sector and the willingness to undertake a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People to be considered for this role. This position does include working paid hourly rate sleep-in shifts and the ability to drive is not essential.
