Job Description

Children's Senior Therapeutic Support Worker

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Therapeutic Worker to work in a Children's Home in Brighton and Hove.

My client caters to working with children with EBD (emotional behaviour difficulties) and some aspects of behaviours that may be challenging to some. Working in a therapeutic and holistic manner will ensure the children build appropriate and meaningful relationships with you, the team, their fellow residents and other important people in their lives.

As well as a competitive starting salary of £23,140 to £24,556 with experience and length in service, you will also benefit from 28 days annual leave allowance for a great work and home life balance. To further enhance your earnings, you will get an additional financial allowance for sleep ins! A comprehensive induction and training package are also on offer, this will further enhance your development and training. A great pension scheme is also available, along with free parking available on site. The home has very close links to public transport. You will have a great senior management team that will provide you with feedback, supervisions, and overall support. Best of all, you will work directly with some amazing children, giving you the job satisfaction that you want and deserve.

Using your natural leadership abilities and previous experience in working with children and young people with EBD in a residential setting you will support the Registered and Deputy Manager in the daily running of the home. It is essential that you have a full UK driving license as you may be driving the children to and from their education provision and other activities outside of school hours and term time. With your understanding of OFSTED regulations and Safeguarding children you will deliver an excellent service to the children that will inspire, motivate, and develop your colleagues and rest of the team.

This role will also suit a very strong and established support worker with the relevant experience in Young People that is looking to take the next step in their career. If shift leading comes natural to you and you do not shy away from making the right decisions at the right time then this role is ideal for you.
