Job Description

Are you an experienced CNC Turner or CNC Miller who is looking for a new engineering job that will utilise your abilities and an employer who will value your services, whilst improving your current skill set? If so, then this is the job for you!

We are looking for someone to begin working for an International manufacturing/engineering company just outside Fareham that enjoys a great reputation for employee satisfaction and an international reputation for outstanding quality products - they are looking for experienced CNC Turners and CNC Millers Setter/Operator (Fanuc) to join the engineering team on either Days (0730 to 1545 Mon to Thurs and 0730 to 1130 on Friday) or Lates (1430 to 0030 Mon to Fri). If this isn't enough working hours for you, then there is the option to do overtime when available.

Skills and experience:-

You will need to have a good working knowledge of CNC Lathes or Mills with Fanuc controls and be confident in your abilities to set the Lathes and Mills efficiently and accurately as well as be able to edit when necessary. Any additional controls knowledge will be highly beneficial.

Of course, being an experienced CNC Turner or Miller Setter/Operator, you will be able to work to tight tolerances, and being able to quality-check your own working using various hand measuring tools would be highly advantageous, as you will be producing interesting products on your new machines for the Aerospace/ Nuclear/ Medical industries. Working to these tight tolerances will improve both the accuracy and quality of your work.

The role:-

This is a six-month contract starting immediately, and may well continue for longer. This is a fantastic opportunity to show your skillset. This company makes aerospace and avaiation products for some well known and well regarded international clients. As well as a competitive salary, this job offers some fantastic and diverse experience in a company that will put your CV head-and-shoulders above others. You would be setting and operating a variety of CNC Lathes and Mills, all working on Fanuc, to machine parts for precision-engineering customers from high grade steels and aluminium.
