Our client is an established Aviation manufacturing company in the Fareham area; currently looking to expand their engineering team, we are recruiting for a CNC Setter. This is a permanent position, working on their day shift with a basic salary of £29500 per annum with some overtime available. You will be able to work in a bright, clean environment on small bath production and interesting products.
We are looking for someone who has a desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.

What about the role?
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To set and operate a CNC Lathes (Fanuc/Heidenhein controls) and various manual equipment
- Produce parts to the required drawing and specification utilising set up reductions
- Maximising output and prioritizing workload
- Contributing to 5S, TPM and carrying out 'in process' inspection as required.
Alongside the responsibilities of the role, you will be using standardised processes, programs, established tooling and fixtures in addition to both setting and operating machines to produce high tolerance parts in a variety of materials.
In addition to using the traditional machines in manual milling, you will need to be capable and willing to perform standard bench operations such as de-burring, part marking, cleaning and pressure washing.
What do I need?
Apprenticeship trained within an Aerospace/Aviation/Manufacturing environment
2 years' CNC Setting experience post apprenticeship.
In addition to this you will need to:
Able to read engineering drawings
Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile
Be a problem solver
Have a flexible, positive attitude!
