Our client is a long established precision engineering company based in Lee on Solent with a close-knit team, and good working environment within new premises and continual investment in machinery.
There is potential for expanding your skill set and salary as they have experience machinists/engineers who could further your knowledge. They manufacture a wide variety of small batch, high-quality products mostly for the Oil & Gas Industry.
They are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter or Programmer to work on their CNC Lathes machines using Fanuc, working Days. They do have offline capabilities as well, this is an area you could get training up on in the future.
The company is well established and extremely successful, the work on complex products and you will be challenged, this is often a fast-paced environment. The role can pay circa £13 to £15 per hour (depending on skill set) for a very skilled CNC Programmer they will consider your existing salary and capabilities.
The role includes some overtime if you wish to work it, the standard week is 39 hours per week but most people work overtime, they are open from 7.30am to 5.30am and you can work your hours between with overtime as you wish, providing it is available (which it mostly is). There is free parking on site.
The suitable candidate will have:-
Experience within the sub-contract, precision engineering industry
Recent experience of programming CNC Lathes (will consider strong setters with a drive to learn)
You will ideally have expertise using Fanuc controls although other controls will be considered as comprehensive training is available
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
You must be able to program and/or efficiently without supervision
