Due to expansion, we are working with an established and growing company to find a Commissioning Engineer to join their Operations Team. This is a driven company who are well established but continually growing and evolving. This will mostly be a field based role covering London and the Home Counties (possibly the Midlands). The ideal candidate will have a background in the HVAC industry as you will be installing/commissioning ventilation equipment and climate control systems in and around London.
This would best suit someone living in the Midlands or Home Counties.
The salary for this role would be £30,000 plus a company vehicle, 25 days holiday per year, excellent training, opportunities to progress through the company, a contributory pension scheme and regular salary reviews.
They predominantly work on construction projects for the commercial and industrial sector rather than domestic so the values of their projects range dramatically from £50k to £1million.
Experience installing equipment or a strong electro-mechanical background with the ability to transfer into a commissioning/field based role.
Posses an electrical qualification
Able to read building layout drawings
Able to understand schematic and circuit diagrams
Some exposure to the building services or construction industry would be an advantage
Needs to be HSE aware with construction
Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical controls
Must possess excellent communication skills
Good computer skills, MS Office and Excel
A valid UK driving licence is essential
Self-motivated and works well in a pressurised environment
Ambitious with a desire to develop your career quickly
Have a considered, thoughtful approach
Approachable and pro-active
This a hands-on role, you would travelling around the south (including London) to commission / install ventilation products and climate control systems, mostly within commercial and industrial markets.
You will be dealing with mechanical products/systems which are electrically controlled and you would be responsible for downloading software, setting parameters,
Compile method statements, risk assessments ad site reports when required.
Carry electric checks and set system/products to work, test and demonstrate to clients.
You will be expected to complete installations safely, meeting quality standards, and on time.
You will be regularly liaising with the client and project managers.
