Community Support Worker - Brighton FT and PT
National care provider with units all across the UK. Specialising in the care and support for adults with learning disabilities in residential and supported living settings. Plus they also provide care in the community for adults living independantly.
They are currently recruiting for support workers to work in the Brighton area. You will be based in a 2 bedded unit for older adults with PMLD but there is also an element of community work, visiting services users in their own homes and offering support and community guidance. An emphasis towards 1-1 communication and effective relationship building is key.
This is not a homecare role as you will be offering tailored support plans and assisting the service user to become as independant as possible. Car drivers are preferred but not essential as the everywhere is accessible by public transport.
You must be flexible in your approach, the hours are contracted between 25-30 per week but overtime is available should you wish to add more.
The focus is on support workers who want to build relationships and work in a positive and forward thinking environment, where you can learn and develop as part of a well established staff team, excellent training is available for you and you will be encouraged towards the NVQ 3, this will result in a wage increase!
