Our client seek a professional from within engineering/manufacturing who has gained configuration control experience, to join a small yet well invested manufacturing site in Hamble, Hampshire. Depending upon experience this role can pay you up to £38000 and you will also be rewarded with private medical insurance, 25 days of holiday, pension contribution, child care vouchers, access to online free training courses, free parking and working 37.5 hours a week with flexible working hours also offered.
Sounds interesting, what will I do?
As a Configuration Controller for this design and manufacturing site you'll take the lead with the change control system (CCS) ultimately ensuring product and project data is accurate and compliant - for example drawings, specifications, baselines, software applications, user documentation etc. You'll be the point of contact providing guidance on the creation, management and maintenance of configuration records for the company's existing and future products.
As a successful configuration controller you'll be providing quality assurance on projects, ensuring correct use of processes and storage of design and product data by the team. This is an exciting, accountable role where you will have autonomy and be able to drive and make processes more efficient across their small site.
Sounds great, so what do I need?
This will be a role where you'll certainly need exceptional communication skills to speak effectively across the site, they have circa 40 people on site so you'll need to be confident interacting face to face with various managers and engineers.
You need to have experience with configuration control already ideally within an engineering/manufacturing business and also technical reporting/procedural writing experience.
Desired requirements would be holding either mechanical/electrical or computer science certifications, CMII accreditation, software release processes and also automated chance control system experience - yet importantly having fundamental configuration control experience, technical writing and very strong communication skills with a desire to push your career forwards are what this manufacturer seek.
