Are you an experienced Customer Quality Engineer seeking an exciting new opportunity? If you have a background in Electronics, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Defence or Space, this role is perfect for you!

This Customer Quality Engineer role is working for an Electronics Manufacturer in Andover. The working hours are 8:30 - 5pm Monday to Thursday, with an earlier finish of 3:30pm on a Friday! The role is also paying up to £50,000 depending on experience.

As a Customer Quality Engineer, your role is to uphold and enhance the quality management system, aligning with ISO 9001, AS 9100, and ISO 13485 standards. You'll lead by example in meticulous documentation practices, ensuring clear and concise reporting of all activities. Your key responsibilities include effective communication with customers regarding complaints and returned goods, thorough analysis of complaints, and decision-making on returns' justifications. You'll coordinate fault finding and repairs on customer returns, initiate additional investigations when necessary, and issue detailed feedback reports to customers. Furthermore, you'll handle change requests and notifications, manage audit reports and their follow-up, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for customer complaints. Your expertise will be instrumental in producing defect reports, Pareto analyses, and timing plans for issue resolution. Providing management with regular status reports and leading customer visits and audits will also be part of your role. Your profound knowledge of regulations will ensure the integrity of the customers' products in the face of potential issues.

You will need:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of quality management experience in industrial manufacturing and product development, with a focus on medical, automotive, aeronautics, or space industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485, AS 9100, and relevant standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrable organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Practical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience in using quality tools like DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans for New Production Introduction.
