Job Description
Are you an experienced maintenance engineer with a electrical background? Are you skilled in electrical testing and looking for a new opportunity to showcase your expertise? If so, we have the perfect role for you!
We are currently seeking a Depot Test & Maintenance Engineer to join a small, multi-skilled team. Based in Portland, Dorset, you will be responsible for maintaining and testing electrical and fiber optic cables, ensuring the smooth operation of the depot. Working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm this role will pay up to £33000.
What will I be doing?
- Prepping and testing electrical and fiber optic cables.
- Maintaining accurate records of test, inspection, and maintenance information.
- Conducting maintenance on existing and new electrical equipment within the facility.
- Sourcing parts
- Collaborating closely with site key staff
- Training and developing others
- Assisting with cable movements within the depot for operational purposes.
What do I need?
- 18th Edition with relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, test, diagnose, and resolve electrical problems, with a good working knowledge of electrical principles.
- A genuinely dynamic and strong communicator to work well with the rest of the team.
- Flexible approach to working hours when necessary
