Job Description

Deputy Head housekeeper

We have an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team. You will be welcomed into a professional and friendly team, who pride themselves in delivering excellent housekeeping services for the Hilton Brighton Metropole.

Salary: £20000 per annum.

Duties: To provide the following support to the Head Housekeeper.

Provide leadership, support and motivation to the housekeeping team and ensure high standards of excellence.

Staff training including induction, health & safety, security & COSHH).

Health & Safety management complying with company procedures

Hotel standards Housekeeping compliance with the standards and regular communication to the Management team

Security: Key security, guest security and lost property procedures.

Financial control staff productivity, hours and chemical/equipment spend.

Assisting with the development of a proactive relationship with the Front Office and ensuring that all rooms are cleaned in conjunction with guests check in / departures times.

Management of departmental procedures i.e. room audits, job of the day, periodical cleaning tasks etc...

Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness.

Attending and participate in meetings (i.e. morning brief, HOD meetings Health & safety etc.).

Full Time Position Working 5 over 7 days Rota Basis Will include Weekends.

20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.

You will have:

A welcoming, friendly and outgoing manner and have the ability to develop and motivate your team

Worked within a management capacity in a housekeeping role.

Excellent people management skills and will have an understanding of rotas and schedules

A high level of attention to detail and demonstrate high levels of quality.

A hands on approach needed - to support the front line team and potentially clean rooms.

Flexible working hours, including weekends depending on business needs.

Self-starter qualities, be ambitious, passionate with excellent leadership qualities
