Deputy House Manager - Cranleigh
A new job role has become open in the Cranleigh area, working in a large rurally set day and residential school for children with autism and other associated learning disabilites.
We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to work in the residential services on site, where you will be deputising in a residential unit for children who atend the school. The children have a range of learning disabilities.
You will be deputising for the house manager and will be expected to take responsiblity for the home in the managers absence, with the overall task of promoting effective care and learning for the young people.
You will be expeceted to lead a small team in the residential setting where you will carry out various leadership tasks such as recruitment, care planning and also participating in training strategies focused on the residential setting.
You will also be responsible for the assessment and monitoring of front line care staff as well as the children in the residential care, you must be up to date with assessing risk assessments and have a sound working knowledge of OFSTED requirements and other related paperwork.
