A care home for elderly people with dementia based in a quiet area of Hove is currently recruiting for a permanent deputy manager to join the new owners and care manager and help to develop the home and move forward with their plans.
The home was bought by the new owner in June and he is currently in the process of renovation and modernising, yet there are still 28 beds filled out of 33 so the home is sustained and moving in the right direction. There is also a new system in place which involves using phones and tablets to log care plans and notes, giving an excellent and efficient service to elderly residents.
You will be working closely with the care manager to ensure that high standards are kept on the care floor and that care staff know what is expected of them and are given clear direction.
You will be expected to be in sole charge of the home in the absence of the manager so you must have at least a years experience in a similar role and have the drive to be committed to making the home a success.
There are lots of long term plans for development in place, new kitchen and flooring, plus they have their own pub in the back garden!
Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations is essential as you will be assisting with the homes progression to be outstanding!
