Seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a well-respected and nurturing Children's home in West Sussex

Play a key role, within the house structure of this well-respected organisation managing and monitoring assessments, policies, and procedures.

Working closely with the manager, supporting, and directing a team of residential care workers and developing and nurturing relationships with young people whilst providing a safe, caring environment

Minimum of Diploma Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce

2 years' experience working in residential children's service

Great knowledge of up to date childcare policies and procedures

Experience of managing challenging behaviour and EBD

Ability to set achievable targets and experience of writing and updating care plans, risk assessments and reports.

Potential to successfully manage at middle management level and contribute to problem solving initiatives and development planning

Ability to lead and mentor other staff to motivate, engage and successfully support/care for children and young people exhibiting particularly challenging behaviour

The ability to lead and support behaviour management amongst a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
