Deputy Manager, Residential Childrens Home - Worthing

A residential childrens home based in Worthing is recruiting for a permanent deputy manager to join the existing team in this well established service for children aged 9-17, the role will involve assisting the registered manager with the day to day running of the childrens home, sometimes being in sole charge of the home.

You will be working with children who have EBD and challenging behaviour, which involves setting a positive examples and promoting choice in a challenging environment, you will be fully supported by management and head office, giving an excellent team inspired environment.
You will be required to have management or strong supervisory experience in a similar setting and have excellent knowlegde of OFSTED and other regulatory frameworks as there is an element of admin and paperwork to the role.
An NVQ 3 is preferred and you will also be given the oppourtunity to work towards an NVQ level 5.
