Job Description

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer who has worked within asset or facilities management? Are you able to diagnose, fault find and create solutions for electrical failures or defects? If so, this Electrical Engineer position is perfect for you!

This Electrical Engineer position is based in Portsmouth and is located on the Naval Base. The role is offering regular office working hours, Monday to Friday. The role is also paying up to £45,000 depending on experience.

Due to the Security Clearance required, you must be a British Citizen/hold a British Passport to apply for this position.

This Electrical Engineer position is working for a company specialising in Asset Management, Facilities Management and Energy Solutions. This Electrical Engineer position is an important role for the company as they will be required to provide technical, legislative, and regulatory governance to ensure safety and assurance to the mechanical/electrical equipment and systems. The main responsibilities of the role include compliance to legislation, adopting ownership of technical issues, and ensuring mechanical/electrical elements mean both project design and design intentions. It will be vital for the successful Electrical Engineer to identify problems or faults, create solutions and solve technical issues. There will also be the need for monitoring asset conditions, updating asset management plans and providing support to plans regarding infrastructure and business improvement.

You will need:

• A HNC, HND or Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable

• Electrical Engineering Experience

• A good understanding of Electromechanical equipment and systems

• Experience in facilities or asset management is desirable

• To be ideally a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or working towards.
