Job Description
Have you gained some Marine relating certification and have some commercial exposure in your career since and fancy beocming an Engineering Project Estimator? If so then we are recruiting a professional to join a UK leading company who perform coastal protection and associated activities ensuring our shores, harbours and ports remain safe, diverse, attractive and fit for all our use.
We are recruiting for an Engineering Project Estimator, to play a key part within the team of 8 onsite. As an Engineering Project Estimator you'll be closely involved with performing costings and working on tenders for really exciting projects ranging anywhere from £15000 up to £20 million in value!!! In return you'll be paid a basic salary between £35000 and £45000 and entitled to an exceptional pension with an 8.5% contribution as well as flexible start and finish times, 25 days holiday, private medical care, free parking and other schemes to benefit from!
This company have their office based in Segensworth near to Fareham. You'll work closely with the team of estimators and business developers and will generally be in the office 50% of the time and working from home the other 50%.

Along with reviewing tenders and costings you'll on occasion be able to get out on site to gather additional info, determine and check quantities, evaluate proposals from sub contractors and suppliers, utilise the wider group network for support, work closely with projects teams and ultimately enjoy a really well rounded technical role within the unique and challenging world of marine engineering!!
What do I Need?
- You will have a relating Marine certifications, i,e a degree, HNC or HND ideally or Civils Engineering certifications.
- A desire to work within Marine Engineering and innovation.
- Basic knowledge of cost and contractual aspects.
- Great written ability, able to produce high quality tender documentation.
- Ability to work with support software, including the suite of Microsoft Office programmes.
- Current eligibility to work in the UK
