Job Description

Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an EHS Coordinator to join the current Manager of a prestigious manufacturing organisation based in Ilfracombe. This is a very exciting opportunity to work for a fast-paced global organisation.

You would be responsible for coordinating EHS activities and programme deployment between operational and support functions across the site as well as coordinating processes to maintain compliance of all legal, corporate policy, procedures and initiatives. This will include you coordinating 10-12 safety reps across the site.

You will require the following skills and experience:

You will need to hold a recognised qualification (minimum level 3 & Tech IOSH or AIEMA) as well as have an excellent understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety legal requirements within a Manufacturing environment.

You will need to understand the requirements of ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO22301 as well as have leadership and mentoring skills.

Effective communication and time management skills are a must, as well as good problem-solving abilities to enable you to conduct root cause analysis and formal investigations.

You must have experience in conducting and managing risk assessment systems and understanding the hierarchy of control, leading and lagging indicators.

This role will require you to have intermediate Excel skills.

Your main duties -

Your role will involve you coordinating daily management of EHS activities across the site and supporting activities to maintain the business continuity system. You will conduct internal auditing and maintain standard work to support site operations as well as acting as a Couch and Mentor at all levels of the organisation to build a good health & safety culture.

You would be the site contact for waste management and manage, design and deliver training to ensure compliance in all areas, making improvements when needed.

Hours are:

Monday to Thursday 8-4:30

Friday 8-3:30
