We are recruiting for a brand new position due to growth, to work closely with Microbiology Laboratory professionals, being intricate in this companies drive to set up offsite environmental cleanroom monitoring. Paying up to £35000 with good benefits, this role is based near to Fareham / Gosport in Hampshire.
As an Environmental Monitoring Lead, you'll work closely with Quality Control and several managers; you'll be excited to launch a defined environmental monitoring service working alongside this companies external partners. Fundamentally, you'll be ensuring best practices are in place to ensure the quality of a cleanroom in areas where contamination could be a concern.

Cleanroom environments are critical for aseptic processing. As this companies new Environmental Monitoring Lead, reporting into a Lab Manager, you'll head the monitoring of these cleanrooms. In this role you'll support the launch of this service, be involved with training materials to the external partners, communicate with them daily, conduct risk assessments, qualification and revalidation of these partner cleanrooms and at clients.
As a role monitoring cleanrooms there will be times that you will be at clients/partner sites, yet this will be infrequent, a lot of your work will be on site across their large facility. Moving forwards as this company expand this service, volume of travel will naturally increase. For example there is a client in Wales where you would visit once per quarter. It may also be that Environmental Monitoring at a client has been set up by yourself and the client themselves can send in samples so you can remotely monitor.
So, what do I need to have?
Along with the requirements below, with a customer/client facing aspect they seek ideally someone who has some good leadership skills /some supervisory experience.
- You need to have a scientific degree or ample closely relating work experience.
- Strong experience with cGLP and cGMP.
- Practical understanding of aseptic technique.
- Good understanding and experience within a cleanroom environment.
- Exceptional customer/client facing skills - strong communicator.
- Some Environmental Testing (EVM) already would be fantastic!
