We are working with a local, long established business who are looking to expand their skilled Service team, they are a mechanical manufacturer who design and install their own range of equipment within the building services sector.
The salary for this position is dependent on skills, qualifications and experience, but as a guideline the salary is circa £28'000 to £30'000 per annum plus expected earnings of £8'000 to £10'000 on top of that for travel, call outs etc. Benefits include 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Parking, Flexi start option, Workplace Pension scheme (3%) and with this comes Life Cover. There is a company vehicle with this role as you will often be out and about. There is a call out rota which the whole team is a part of, more details can be discussed at interview.
Your main role will be to maintain and repair air and water cooled chillers around the UK (some travel to mainland Europe) as well as commissioning equipment and carrying out warranty work. Their clients range from smaller business through to retail, commercial and office blocks. You would be part of the call out rota.
Qualifications & Experience F-Gas certified, SCS card, NVQ level 2 in refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Good technical / engineering background, preferably with a knowledge of air conditioning, heating or cooling systems within commercial and industrial applications - however strong mechanical/electrical backgrounds may be considered. This would suit someone who is used to being field based, installing and/or repairing air conditioning or a related product that you feel would be transferable.
Good communication skills, comfortable dealing with customer on the phone and face to face, must possess a good telephone manner
Experience within technical support, carrying out surveys and diagnostic checks.
Good computer skills
Must hold full driving licence
