Job Description

Are you working towards an AAT or a similar accounting qualification and seeking your first financial role? Or are you a Finance/Accounting graduate looking to utilise the last few years of learning the profession? This Finance Assistant role is for a company based in Runcton near to Chichester in West Sussex. The working hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. The role is also paying up to £23,000 based on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company. They are one of Europe's biggest suppliers and employ almost 400 people on site and many many more across the group!

The successful candidate will join the company as part of the finance department. In this department, you will be required to offer support to the rest of the team to ensure that deadlines are adhered to, and workload is managed effectively. The successful candidate will also need to carry out reconciliations and process payments and reports. You will need to assist with the preparation of monthly accounts and reports, as well as help draft statutory accounts. Budgeting and forecasts is also something that the successful candidate will assist in preparing. It is also important to contribute to projects and suggest any suitable improvements to the finance process.

The company and role also offers 33 days holiday including bank holidays, access to the bonus scheme (10%), discount site, enrolment in to the People Pension and free on site parking.

You will need:

  • A relevant degree / AAT qualification or working towards
  • Experience in a finance role would be beneficial (Can be through placement)
  • Great numeracy and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A keen eye to detail
  • Good time management and organisation
