Governance and Compliance Manager

Part time
What is required:
- Previous experience of working for an FCA regulated business (essential)
- A background in the financial services sector (preferred not essential)
- An appreciation of governance and compliance principle
- High level of confidence in building relationships with all levels of people
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent time management and workload prioritisation abilities
- Eager to tackle new projects and bring new ideas with a positive outlook
Key elements of the role:
- Manage the relationship with the ZM Governance Manager and ZM Delegated Authorities Oversight & Governance specialist
- Prepare and present at Governance and Operations meetings
- Ensure actions arising from these meetings are progressed and closed within agreed timescales
- Collate and prepare information for ZM Audits and Reviews and ensure actions arising are progressed and closed within agreed timescales
- Ensure issues, breaches, complaints, operational events and near misses are identified, recorded and reported
- Provide guidance and support to the business on regulatory compliance
- Provide guidance and support to business on compliance with ZM policies and procedures
- Oversee Data Protection compliance and information security adherence and be an Information Custodian.
- Oversee completion of the mandatory Governance and CPD training
Hours:
- The role is part-time, working 22.5 hours (equivalent to 3 full days) a week. Working hours and flexibility over school holidays can be discussed on a case-by-case basis as suitability and interest are
Salary:
- £21,000 pa
In addition, the client provides the following benefits:
