This is a role creating sustainably excellent financial performance across 2 sites. Through accurate and timely reporting, supporting and advising other Management on financial matters and leading initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation, this will be a challenging and exciting role to own.
What you will be doing -
Based in Fareham, Hampshire, you will be Reporting, Forecasting and Positively Influencing the Financial performance within the sites. You will produce all financial reporting to agreed deadlines and provide analysis, advice and leadership to site and group Management to help them understand and improve Profit and Cashflow. The role will involve you influencing actions on site, actively managing the debtors and creditors and preparation of accurate Profit and Cashflow forecasts. With 5 direct reports you will maintain vigilance on financial performance to maximise profit and cash whilst Managing all Finance departments for the South Coast sites.
The role will involve you maintaining effective control mechanisms to ensure continuing site compliance and manage site relationships with Auditors. You will ensure avoidance of fraud, manage banking for site and keep bonds and guarantees to a minimum and maintain effective control mechanisms to ensure build up of balance sheet risk.
As Group Financial Controller you will be bright and of exemplary integrity. You must possess strong leadership, be hands on and a strong communicator with interpersonal skills. You need to have experience within a senior role and have used an ERP system. You must hold a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). You should have the ability to motivate and manage your team, have working knowledge of standard costing/variance analysis and inventory accounting. Be confident with influencing others, hold analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to look beyond the financial issues.
