Job Description

Are you a strong leader within fast paced food production and seek that next senior challenge? If so then we're recruiting for a Head of Operations, to oversee a site with almost 400 employees who have acquisition ambitions and fantastic employee plans moving forwards!!

Based near to Chichester in Hampshire they will offer the right candidate a basic salary of £95,000 per annum, 10% bonus, 12.5% combined pension, 33 days holiday etc. They are a hugely supportive company where the vast majority of the workforce are permanently employed and have great longevity within the business. This role will offer autonomy and to oversee a very successful site reporting into the MD.

You'll have 3 direct reports in this role, all of whom have been with the business a significant amount of years and have progressed well within the site. You'll be overseeing extremely fast paced fresh produce operations where timing and efficiency is everything and hence working under pressure will already be second nature to you. Naturally you will be tasked to deliver high levels of quality, keeping costs minimal and inspiring the teams always driving operational excellence. You'll have great opportunities to manage, yet develop people and enhancing the business overall, additionally you will be able to greet and warmly welcome guests to the site such as suppliers, customers and auditors etc and proudly demonstrate the sites positivity.

There will be some travel to other sites and potentially around Europe now and again.

What do I need to have?

• Ample experience within fresh food produce
• Strong leadership qualities and a current people management pedigree
• Strong operational experience, understanding H&S, production/scheduling, logistics etc
• Approachable, calm, yet highly driven and efficient in your nature
• Any relating management certification would be desirable.
