Recently opened and refurbished residential School based in rural area of Horsham is expanding and taking in new children and therefore is on the hunt for a house manager to be in charge of one of the residential services where the children live onsite.
The provides education and residential support for children with varying levels of autism and challenging behaviour aged between 9 and 17.
You will be tasked with managing the home in line with the operational and quality standards set out by the organisation and also OFSTED, with an aim to promote a positive and caring environment which focuses upon and addresses the needs of each individual child.
Your role will also involve supporting and managing a team of support workers in a sometimes challenging environment where you will be expected to lead by example and promote a positive working environment where staff can flourish and develop their careers.
You will be expected to have experience working in residential childcare at deputy or senior level and have excellent working knowledge of OFSTED and the 2004 childrens act.
