Health and Safety Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturer in the electronics industry. We are looking for an individual who has H&S experience and is wanting to progress their career. We want someone who is on-top of all Health and Safety, wants to implement their own ideas and make a difference over multiple sites, support H&S management.

This is a permanent position, working 39 hours a week. Reporting to the Health and Safety manager. The ideal candidate would be an individual who has had Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing/engineering background. Someone who oozes confidence to support other Health and Safety specialists, implement their own ideas, support the team and are adaptable/flexible.

What will I be doing?

You will be working closely with all management. You will be ensuring that every member of staff is adhering to all Health and Safety requirements, legislations and laws. Enforcing all of this and any compliance procedures, you must make sure that staff stick by this. You will also be required to log and monitor all risks, near misses, incidents etc…

What do I need?

• Must have a NEBOSH OR IOSH qualification.
• Understanding of relevant legislations, laws and compliance procedures.
• Working on your own and in a team, implementing your own ideas to conduct change.
• Enforcing strict rules and regulations and ensuring these are maintained and monitored.

• Previous experience in a Health and Safety role. Ideally in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  

The Package: paying a basic salary of up to £30,000 annually. You will receive 25 days holiday + bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, expenses covered and much more…
