Job Description

Are you an experienced HV Fitter/Field Service Engineer with a strong background in Engineering? Do you have hands-on experience managing HV assets and working on substation plant and equipment? If so, this HV Fitter/Field Service Engineer position could be the perfect fit for you!

This HV Fitter/Field Service Engineer role is with a leading company in the power systems industry based in Greater Manchester. The role involves working on a variety of sites across the Northwest of England and UK-wide, with opportunities for international travel. The role is paying up to £34,000 depending on experience.

As an HV Fitter/Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, refurbishment, maintenance, fault investigation, and condition monitoring of HV/LV equipment. You will work on a range of complex High Voltage equipment and ancillary systems, such as DC battery systems, air compressors, and diesels. You will also take a lead role within your team, coordinating field service engineers and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position or an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of switchgear maintenance and installation
  • Experience working on transmission equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings
  • Full UK Driving License
