Job Description

Import/Export Coordinator - Temporary 6 month contract

What you will be doing -

Your role will be to ensure that all customer orders for countries outside the UK are prepared and dispatched in accordance with the required legal framework of the receiving country. You will ensure that all supplier deliveries from countries outside the UK are cleared in accordance with the required legal framework and you are compliant with HM Customs requirements for reporting and identification of products being shipped/received. Liaising with CS to ensure correct method of transport is arranged and invoiced you will coordinate the dispatch of product with the Warehouse.

The role will also require you to check invoicing accuracy, ensure manifest is correct for daily shipments and paperwork is fully prepared to support on time collections. You will create customs documentation for export using the ERP system and book collections using numerous external customer portals. Processing and monitoring Cargo insurance claims can be required as well as ensuring correct processes are followed with Customs Auditors and VAT inspectors.

What we need from you -

  • Experience in a similar role within imports & exports
  • Good attention to deal
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer user in Microsoft Office with experience of ERP systems
  • In depth knowledge of HM Customs legal requirements

This role is paying £11 per hour and the hours of work are 8:30 - 4:45 Monday - Friday.
