Do you have a keen interest in science? Do you want to join a forward thinking, progressing company? Our client located in Southampton are looking for a Junior Laboratory Technician to join the team. We're looking for a keen, motivated and focused individual to get on board! Working in a lab developing a chemical background, you must have a forward-thinking mentality to support any problems in the way, coming from an educational background across Science/Mathematics, you will thoroughly enjoy adapting your skillset and improving it accordingly.
What will I be doing?
You will be working in a busy Laboratory environment where you will be supporting other Technicians, Scientists and Chemists in a range of chemical testing for their clients. You will be completing and supporting audits, dealing with the order of chemicals and consumables, preparation of materials and equipment, helping clients with their test results and much more.
What do I need?
- Educational background in science is needed. (Chemistry/Physics GSCE is the minimum.)
- Basic understanding and adhering to Health & Safety requirements, legislations, procedures and policies.
- Must be able to support your own workload, stay on top of this and pick up new tasks.
- An adaptive attitude and mindset. Willingness to get the job done.
- A positive outlook to learn, develop and grow within.
The Package: This role is paying up to £21,200 p/a. Additional benefits include: 25 Days annual leave, Buy/Sell holiday scheme, Life Assurance, Pension Scheme (Up to 10%), Internal training/Development and much more…
