The role is as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer, so using your good machine shop experience you'll be able to look at processes and suggest areas that can be made more efficient and leaner.

This company manufacture products typically used in the construction industry, they employ over 200 across the UK at various sites, and this role will be based in their factory in Braintree where they have up to 50 on site. They generally work with steel and are a very encouraging and supportive company to work for. You'll be accountable for ensuring equipment is kept in good order, justifying new expenditure on new machines, looking at stock levels and the manufacturing cost and delivery - a great chance to become a Manufacturing Engineer for a well-recognised company.
What Do I Need?
Machine shop experience is a must, a good mechanical understanding of machines such as mills, punching, press breaks, plasma/laser/oxyfuel cutting and ideally you will have welding and fabrication experience.
You'll need to have great communication skills as well, naturally you will be communicating with many different managers at all levels.
This role is based in Essex and commutable from Chelmsford, Ipswich, Harlow, Cambridge, Colchester and Basildon
