We are recruiting for a Technical Project Coordinator / Junior Quantity Surveyor, based in Braintree, Essex. In the role you would support engineering in response to enquiries, preparation of technical and commercial proposals for tendering purposes. Depending upon experience they can offer you a salary of up to £35000, benefits include 20 days of leave but you can buy an additional 10 days of holiday via salary sacrifice taking the total up to 38 with the bank holidays included. As a key member of the Projects team you'll work closely with all department leaders, ensuring that requests for proposal (RFP) are understood and you'll also work from technical drawings to provide effective proposals in response to customer enquiries. You'll be present all the way through, supporting sales out on visits when required, speaking to internal and external partners getting ideas for costs and ensure promising business activity is well organised and looked after maximising the chances of this company to win the business.
What do I need? You'll certainly need to be able to understand technical/engineering drawings and be a confident and strong communicator. This company operate within construction, so any construction or structural knowledge would be fantastic, but if you come from civil or manufacturing/engineering this is fine. Ideally being certified in Engineering would be advantageous, grads with minimal experience will also be considered as they are willing to train and support heavily.
