Key Account Manager - Service Consultant

*Please note as this role is home and field based you MUST have a driving license!*

Due to growth and internal change we are looking for a Key Account Manager to work around the UK, regularly visiting the Petersfield area so ideally you will live close to this. You would be working for a company who specialise in Heating and Ventilation and are the world leader in their field with a turnover of £100 million!

As well as a competitive basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, benefits include: a company car, expenses paid for parking/fuel and company phone/laptop.

Your role will involve you working from a home office and on the road with regular attendance at the Petersfield office. You will maximise sales potential nationally to multi-site organisations and develop/maintain good relationships with key customers whilst seeking out new service contract customers.

What you will be doing:

Your role will involve you contributing towards the overall company order target by achieving individual order and gross margin targets, as well as maximising the customer base within the UK territory and actively seeking new business opportunities through cold calling and visits to new customers. This will also include keeping close relationships with existing customers to build and maintain multi-site contracts, this could range from Retail Stores and Car Park Operators to Shopping Centres and Housing Associations. You will negotiate orders to secure long term service contracts, keeping the competitions market share to a minimum and promote the service division to both new and existing customers and promote service via letters, reports and presentations.

The role will involve producing full and accurate survey reports, establishing access requirements and customer needs as well as providing information for accurate risk assessments and method statements to be produced ensuring deadlines are met at all times.

What do they want from you?

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel).
  • A proven track record as a Key Account Manager within a similar industry (Smoke/Air Con/Fire).
  • A confident personality with drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organise your own workload
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (not essential)
