We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Scientist to join our client specialising in the Process Safety of Chemical Reactions and Chemical Hazards - an exciting and critical industry to be part of!
We seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual to input their expertise to further support the company. Using your expertise, you will be leading Chemical Projects and organising these accordingly. You will be working with equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Fume Cupboards and Electrical Equipment to ensure Projects are completed on time and on budget.
What will I be doing?
As a Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting all team members within the environment, conducting advanced laboratory tests, dealing with clients when required and providing excellent service, problem solving, equipment maintenance and the support/training of Junior members. You must ensure the Laboratory and the workers are adhering to all Health & Safety requirements, including the understanding of COSHH.
What do I need?
- A Chemical Engineering degree is required. (Biomedical/Forensic type degrees are not enough.)
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required.
- COSHH Health & Safety understanding is necessary.
- Great people management/leadership skills. (You won't be a direct manger but will be leading others from time to time.)
- Organisational and administrative skills are a must.
- A positive and forward-thinking attitude and mindset.
The Package: This role is paying up to £34.2k p/a. Additional benefits include: 25 Days annual leave, Buy/Sell holiday scheme, Life Assurance, Pension Scheme (Up to 10%), Internal training/Development and much more…
